How to use it
- Record a reading for each listed outlet on the planned date, noting whether it is a sentinel or representative point.
- Hot water is generally expected to reach around 50C (55C in healthcare premises) within about a minute, and cold water to stay below 20C within about two minutes - confirm your own targets against your risk assessment and HSG274.
- Mark 'N' whenever a reading is out of range and describe what you did in the action column.
- Sign or initial every entry and keep completed sheets with your logbook so trends can be reviewed.
