How to use it
- Use when commissioning new, extended or refurbished systems - avoid leaving pipework filled and stagnant between installation and use.
- Record thorough flushing, disinfection and, where the risk assessment indicates, sampling before handover, in line with HSG274 and water fittings/commissioning guidance.
- Confirm hot and cold temperatures are achieved and obtain a disinfection certificate where one is produced.
- Add the new assets to your asset register and written scheme of control, and sign off the system as fit to bring into use.
