How to use it
- Name the person or organisation appointed to each legionella role - duty holder, Responsible Person and any deputies - so accountability is clear and in writing.
- Summarise each person's responsibilities and record where their competence is evidenced (training, experience, appointment letter or board minute).
- Always name a deputy or cover arrangement so control is maintained during absence, as recommended in ACoP L8.
- Review and re-sign the record when people change role or leave, and keep it with your logbook.
