Water treatment dosing record
A record for continuous chemical dosing and secondary disinfection systems (such as chlorine dioxide or copper-silver ionisation), logging setpoints, measured residuals and chemical replenishment.
Print-ready PDF with the columns laid out, or the CSV to fill in on a computer.
| Date | System / dosing unit | Chemical | Dose / setpoint | Residual measured | Within range? (Y/N) | Action taken | Initials |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-06-10 | HCW - chlorine dioxide | Chlorine dioxide | Per system setpoint | 0.3 mg/l at outlet | Y | None required | AB |
| 2026-06-10 | HWS - Cu/Ag ionisation | Copper/silver ions | Per system setpoint | Low at far outlet | N | Checked electrodes; rebalanced | CD |
Sample rows are illustrative. Download the PDF for a clean print-ready form, or the CSV to fill in digitally.
How to use it
- Record residual or ion levels at representative points for each continuous dosing or secondary disinfection system you operate.
- Log chemical replenishment, setpoint changes and equipment maintenance (e.g. electrode/cell cleaning or replacement).
- Compare measured residuals against your control limits and the supplier and HSG274 guidance, and act on any out-of-range result.
- Manage the treatment chemicals under COSHH and keep this record with your logbook as evidence the system is dosing effectively; the values shown are illustrative readings.
