Water treatment dosing record

A record for continuous chemical dosing and secondary disinfection systems (such as chlorine dioxide or copper-silver ionisation), logging setpoints, measured residuals and chemical replenishment.

How to use it

  • Record residual or ion levels at representative points for each continuous dosing or secondary disinfection system you operate.
  • Log chemical replenishment, setpoint changes and equipment maintenance (e.g. electrode/cell cleaning or replacement).
  • Compare measured residuals against your control limits and the supplier and HSG274 guidance, and act on any out-of-range result.
  • Manage the treatment chemicals under COSHH and keep this record with your logbook as evidence the system is dosing effectively; the values shown are illustrative readings.
