An inspector wants to see that you have assessed the risk, put controls in place, and can prove both with records. Here is what they look for and how to be ready.
Do this now
- 1Find your current Legionella risk assessment and confirm it reflects the building as it is today.
- 2Assemble the written scheme of control and the records that prove it runs: temperatures, flushing, inspections, sampling, remedial actions.
- 3Check the named, competent management chain is documented (duty holder, Responsible Person, competent help).
- 4Run the compliance self-check to find the obvious gaps before the inspector does, and close what you can.
- 5If you receive a notice, cooperate, meet the deadline, and get competent advice; do not ignore it.
